This is another post where it is more of an encouragement rather than a help. If you have an air fryer, use it! This is another small appliance that can be big and take up quite a bit of space, so if you have one, make good use of it and quit letting it sit on the shelf. Just like the Instant Pot, if you aren’t putting it to good use, you are missing out on some fairly easy cooking and cleanup, and with the space it takes up, you might as well sell or donate it. It’s not worth having it if you aren’t going to use it.

I plan for my air fryer fairly frequently. It really is a great time-saver and is such an easy clean-up, and I have prepared some pretty tasty items in mine. I actually received a new one for Christmas, and it is much bigger and has more functions than my old one. I really like it. I can cook larger portions in it, and it has functions to reheat, to roast, and to dehydrate. I haven’t tried out all of the functions yet, but I’m sure they are awesome.

The biggest tips I can give for the air fryer are to preheat it for a few minutes before actually cooking, spray a little cooking spray when needed so food doesn’t stick, and don’t overfill it. Also, many recipes call for you to shake the food in the basket about half-way through the cooking. If it doesn’t say that, sometimes it’s still a good idea to do that so that things cook evenly.

Other than that, I have no complaints about using my air fryer. It’s probably my favorite small appliance that I have. I have used it for something as simple as cooking french fries all the way to cooking salmon and chicken.
There are so many great recipes out there that use an air fryer. Even desserts!! Just do a little bit of research, and you will find lots of ways to feed your family a delicious meal and keep it simple for you as you manage your mundane.
